Launching My Freelance Web Design Services – Solitude Creative!!

Welcome to the birth of the Solitude Creative blog, my first one ever in fact. My name is Eric and if you have dug this far into the website it is no secret of my profession – I am a Web Designer! I enjoy what I do and much of that has to do with the spontaneity of the industry. As mentioned in my homepage introduction I’ve been into this media stuff ever since I was a kid, so it was not much of a surprise to anyone around me during my childhood that I had selected designing for the web as a career choice. In a nutshell, it seemed like the natural fit.

Today though marks a new path in my life. I’ve made the decision of looking into becoming a Sole Proprietor, a one man front end web development show or as we refer to it nowadays a Freelance Web Designer. For years I have quietly followed others in the web community, admiring not only their work but their aid and alliance to fellow designers. It is out of admiration for the current band of freelancers out there that has given me the desire to make the jump myself.

Since the middle of September I have been relentlessly building Solitude Creative – my web design services and portfolio website. Before officially launching it though, I felt there needed to be one more piece added to the puzzle. Another love of mine when I was a child was writing, so predictably it made sense to tie the two together. The idea is to display the happenings of just a regular guy (that’s me) making the leap into unknown world of a freelancing life.
